Now that you’ve chosen Ireland as your dream study-abroad destination, here’s Nationwide Visas’ quick and easy complete guide to help you successfully apply for an Ireland Study Visa.
Moving to study abroad from India can sometimes be a daunting task. For Indian students, it is advisable to plan for your Ireland study– at least a year in advance. This includes choosing the appropriate program, applying to the colleges, gathering documentation, securing necessary proof of funds, etc. Planning ahead will make your entire stay in Ireland hassle-free.
Ireland is home to some of the world’s renowned educational institutions and offers over 5000+ programs to choose from.
While Dublin remains the most popular destination among Indian students – it is not the only option. Cities in Ireland such as Cork, Galway, and Limerick are among the other student hubs. From bachelor’s and master’s degrees, doctorate and Ph.D. courses, to shorter certificate and diploma courses – Ireland has something for everyone.
Now that you’ve narrowed down your preferred university and course, you will now have to thoroughly research for information about the subjects, credits, cut-offs, deadlines, tuition fees, etc.
Post this, you can take the English language proficiency exam such as IELTS, TOEFL, or GMAT – and get your Statement of Purpose (SOP), Essays, Resume, and Letter of Recommendation (LOR) in order. Other mandated documents such as academic transcripts, extra-curricular activities certificates’, passports, and proof of funds will also be required.
Next, you will need to directly apply to the university – and submit the necessary documents. Generally, student intakes in Ireland are during September and February months. Some universities/colleges may also ask you to attend an interview after shortlisting your application.
Compared to other popular study-abroad destinations, the cost of studying in Ireland is relatively lower.
