Application Process

The process to file an application for an Australia Visitor Visa can vary according to the required Visa Subclass/Category.

The application for the Subclass 601 ETA Visa can be submitted through the ETA Australia app.

The applications for the other Subclasses of Visitor Visas have to be filed by creating an IMMI Account. The application process has to be completed online. You must ensure to file your application quite ahead of your intended date of travel to provide adequate time for application processing by DHA.

DHA can ask you to offer extra supporting information. You will get a written notification if your application is approved and it will be linked to your passport digitally.

You can extend your stay in Australia if you hold a Subclass 601 ETA Visa and are already in Australia. This can be done by applying for another Visa like Subclass 600 Visitor Visa. However, the Subclass 651 E-Visitor Visa cannot be extended.
