Through the Canada Express Entry immigration screening process, people and families from all over the world can immigrate to Canada in just a few months. Express Entry, which was first implemented in 2015, is now the principal source of skilled worker immigration to Canada and one of the most widely used immigration processes worldwide.
Three of Canada's federal economic immigration programs for skilled workers are managed and processed using Express Entry, an application management system used by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Express Entry draw is a merit-based immigration system that compares all qualified applicants and invites the top-scoring applicants to apply for Canadian permanent resident status. Candidates are compared to one another based on a variety of criteria, including age, education, language ability, work experience, and others. Express Entry makes it possible for people and families who want to relocate to Canada to do so in a few months.
The large flood of retiring baby boomers, according to Immigration Minister Sean Fraser, makes it vitally essential for Canada to welcome more immigrants, including skilled professionals through the Express Entry system. Five million Canadians are expected to retire by the end of the decade; therefore, immigration is more crucial economically than ever, Fraser wrote in a tweet. The minister of immigration visited Banff, Alberta, earlier this month to hear from representatives of the tourism sector about the urgent need to meet labor market shortages. Together, Fraser promised, "we will keep welcoming a record number of immigrants to contribute to our communities.
Planned immigration levels call for 451,000 new permanent residents in 2024 and 447,055 new ones in 2019. The three programs that employ the Express Entry system, the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Canada Experience Class (CEC) programs, are among the most promising methods to immigrate to Canada for economic reasons.
Federal Skilled Workers who meet the minimum entry requirements for 347 qualified occupations can participate in Express Entry by submitting an expression of interest profile to the Express Entry Pool. A Comprehensive Ranking System is used to rate the candidate profiles in the pool. The top applicants will be invited to submit an application for permanent residence. After getting an invitation, candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application.
Federal Skilled Workers are those who are chosen under the Express Entry Immigration system to apply for permanent residency and who meet the necessary criteria for education, work experience, age, and language proficiency in one of Canada's official languages. In order to be accepted into the Express Entry Pool as a Federal Skilled Worker, candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below:
