How much does it cost to apply for Canada PR from India?

  • Language proficiency test: INR 15,350 to INR 17,000

The first step in applying for Canada PR through Express Entry is to demonstrate your language proficiency in English or French. The most commonly accepted language tests are the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP). The cost of taking these tests varies, but on average, it can cost anywhere from INR 15,350 to INR 17,000.

  • Educational Credential Assessment (ECA): INR 13,000 to INR 20,000

In order to apply for Canada PR through Express Entry, you must have your educational credentials assessed by a designated organization. This assessment is used to determine the equivalency of your education to Canadian standards. The cost of the ECA varies depending on the organization you choose, but on average, it can cost around INR 13,000 to INR 20,000.

  • Express Entry profile: No Fee

Once you have your language test results and ECA, you can create an Express Entry profile. This profile is used to check eligibility for Canada PR. There is no cost to create an Express Entry profile.

  • Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): INR 15,000 to INR 20,000

In addition to the federal Express Entry system, many Canadian provinces and territories have their own immigration programs called Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These programs allow provinces and territories to nominate candidates who meet their specific immigration needs. If you are nominated by a province or territory, you will receive an additional 600 points toward your Express Entry score, which can greatly increase your chances of being invited to apply for permanent residency.   • Invitation to Apply (ITA): No Fee

If you meet the minimum eligibility requirements and your Express Entry score is high enough, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada. There is no cost to receive an ITA.

Once you receive an ITA, you must submit a complete application for permanent residency. This application includes a variety of forms, documents, and fees. The fees for the permanent residency application itself are currently CAD 1,525 (approximately INR 93,000) per person. In addition, you may be required to pay fees for things like medical exams, police certificates, and biometrics.

  • Settlement funds: INR 8,32,700 to INR 1,770,000

In order to immigrate to Canada, you must demonstrate that you have enough money to support yourself and your family members for a certain period of time. The amount of money required varies depending on the size of your family, but on average, it can range from CAD 14,690 (approximately INR 8,96,000) for a single person to CAD 27,297 (approximately INR 16,65,000) for a family of four.
