You must demonstrate having adequate funds for your living expenses and tuition fees. It also includes return travel expenditure for the Visa holder and accompanying family members to Canada if any.
You must not have any record for crime proving that you are a citizen who abides by the laws of the native nation. You will also have to provide a certificate from Police to demonstrate that you are not a risk to the security of Canada.
The applicants for Canada Study Visa have to possess sound health. They must not become a threat to the citizens/residents of Canada. You will need an authentic medical certificate from an accredited Doctor. It must have been obtained 1 week prior to commencement of the Study Visa application.
You will have to demonstrate to the Immigration Officer that you will depart from Canada upon completion of your studies.

Payment of the fees to the University or College is the next step after obtaining the letter of acceptance. The payment of the fees can be made via International Wire Transfer. You will be provided a receipt for the payment of the fees from the institution after making the payment. It has to be carefully preserved for records and submitted along with the Study Visa application.
The next stage is the purchase of the GIC - Guaranteed Investment Scheme. It is compulsory for all overseas students to obtain the GIC. This is required for catering to the expenditures incurred upon arrival to Canada. The GIC amount required is $ 10,200 and it can be purchased from any participating Canadian or overseas bank.
Roughly $200 will be deducted as administrative charges by the bank and this is variable based on the bank. $2,000 will be provided to you instantly after arrival in Canada. The remaining $8,000 will be provided in 12 uniform installments for your living costs.
You have to undergo a medical examination from a Doctor endorsed by the Government of Canada. The medical examination report will be sent to the immigration authorities directly and you will be offered a receipt. This receipt has to be provided while applying for the Visa.
You have to now file the actual application for the Canada Student Visa.
You will be offered a notification from the Canadian Government seeking your Passport if your application is approved. You can provide this through VFS or in person. Then, you will be provided a Temporary Resident Visa - TRV and an Introduction Letter.
