The UK Family Visa permits you to bring your eligible overseas family members to reunite with you in the UK for 6 months or further.

UK Spouse / Partner Visa

The UK Spouse/Partner Visa under the Family Sponsorship Scheme allows qualified individuals to reunite with their partner in the UK. It authorizes the holders to reside, study, and work in the UK.

Applicants have to be:

• Married with or in civil partnership with their partner based in the UK
• Had lived in a relationship with their UK-based partner for a minimum of 2 years

The Visa applicant along with their partner based in the UK has to demonstrate minimum yearly earnings of £29,000. They must also have spoken English proficiency at A1 level on the scale CEFR - Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Partner/Spouse Visa holders can reside for a maximum of 2 years and 9 months in the UK. They can also obtain an extension of 2 years and 6 months after this. Later they can file an application for the ILR - Indefinite Leave to Remain.

UK Fiancé Visa

The fiancée, fiancé, or proposed civil partner of a qualified individual living in the UK can arrive in the nation for a maximum of 6 months to get wedded or to enter into a civil partnership. Further, they must also fulfill the financial and English language requirements specified above for the UK Spouse Partner Visa.

UK Parent Visa

The Parent Visa under the Family Sponsorship Scheme allows a parent to reunite with their child in the UK to take care of and reside, study, and work here.

The child of the applicant/parent has to be less than 18 years or must be less than 18 years of age when their parent was first approved to leave and must not be living an independent life.

The child has to be residing in the UK and be:

• A citizen of the UK or Ireland
• Settled in the UK
• Having a pre-settled status under the scheme EU settlement; or
• Have resided continuously for 7 years in the UK and it is not reasonable for them to exit the UK

Further, the applicants must possess shared or sole parental responsibility for the child.

Normally, Child Visas are approved corresponding to the leave of their parents. Child Visas can also be extended and utilized for gaining ILR.

UK Parent Visa holders can remain for a maximum of 2 years and 9 months and an extension of 2 years and 6 months can be obtained.

UK Child Visa

The Child Visa under the Family Sponsorship Scheme allows a child to reunite with the parent in the UK. It must be noted that children may not need a Family Sponsorship Visa if a minimum of one of their parents has ILR. They can then instantly apply for ILR.

The criteria for the Child Visa vary based on whether the child was born overseas or in the UK. If born in the UK and less than 18 years old, they can be included in the next UK Visa application of their parent. Alternatively, they can apply individually.

UK Adult Dependant Relative Visa

The Adult Dependant Relative Visa allows overseas relatives to arrive in the UK. This is to get long-term care from a grandchild, parent, sister, brother, daughter, or son residing permanently in the UK.

Adult Dependent Relative has to be able to demonstrate that:

• They are aged 18 years or more
• They need care for long-term for carrying out everyday household and personal tasks due to age, disability, or illness
• The care is not accessible or affordable in their home nation

The individual who will take care of them in the UK has to be able to support and accommodate them without requiring assistance from public funds for a minimum of 5 years.
