The Canada Super Visa is a type of Visitor Visa and is only given to the grandparents and parents of PR holders and Canadian citizens. The only difference is the duration allowed to stay in Canada. With a Canada Visitor Visa, you can be in Canada for 6 months, and for a prolonged stay, you have to extend the visa. But with a Super Visa Canada, you can stay in Canada for 5 years maximum at a time without a visa extension.

This blog discusses the eligibility requirements and differences between a Super Visa and a regular visitor visa.

What is a Canada Visitor Visa?

This visa is a temporary resident visa and is valid for six months. A Canada Visitor Visa allows you to stay in the country for tourism purposes and explore its beauty, wildlife, adventure spots, culture, and more, along with visiting family and friends living there. Also, a Visitor Visa is popularly called a Canada Tourist Visa or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV).

Visitor Visa Canada is of two types -

1. Single Entry Visa: As the name suggests, a single entry visa permits an individual to enter Canada one time only. Meaning, if you are a single-entry Visitor Visa holder, you can enter Canada once and stay there for a maximum period of six months. If you wish to visit again, you have to apply for a Canada Visitor Visa again.

2. Multiple Entry Visa: Similarly, a multiple entry visa means you can enter Canada multiple times.
