The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (Manitoba PNP or MPNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the province in 2025. In 2024, Manitoba conducted 25 draws that invited 7,207 candidates to apply for permanent residency (PR).
If you have been invited to this latest Manitoba PNP draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency to the MPNP. If this timeframe passes, your Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA or invitation) will no longer be valid.
The latest Manitoba PNP draw was held on January 09, 2025. A total of 197 candidates from Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams were invited.
Draw No: #236
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba
Profiles declaring that the applicant or their spouse have completed post-secondary education in Manitoba were considered. Please see note #4 for more details.
Skilled Worker Overseas
Region-specific selection (Winkler)
Profiles declaring their Manitoba destination to be Winkler were considered. Please see note #5 for more details.
Of the 197 LAAs or invitations issued in this draw, 52 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code. No International Education Stream invitations were issued in this draw.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) regularly conducts draws to invite eligible candidates to apply for provincial nomination. These draws are an important part of Manitoba’s immigration process, helping skilled workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs settle in the province.
During each draw, the MPNP selects candidates based on their scores in the Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Points are awarded for factors like age, education, work experience, language skills, and connections to Manitoba, such as a job offer or family in the province. Candidates with higher scores are more likely to receive an invitation.
There are different streams under the MPNP, including Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream. Each stream has specific criteria, and the draws target candidates who meet these requirements.
After receiving an invitation, candidates can apply for provincial nomination. If successful, this nomination gives them an additional 600 points in the Express Entry system, significantly increasing their chances of receiving a federal Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
Currently, 80% of the applications under the Manitoba PNP are being processed within 9 to 12 months.
