The four-year study analyzed millions of jobs posted by LinkedIn members between January 1, 2018, and July 31, 2022 – and calculated the growth rate for each profession. Here’s a complete list of the 20 in demand occupations in Canada over this period along with the top hiring regions and remote work availability.

Although there was a decrease of 20,700 jobs across Canada in November, overall vacancies remain at historic highs – with over 850,300 positions open at the end of 2022. Key industries, particularly Healthcare & Social Assistance, Professional Scientific & Technical Services, and Construction Sectors continue to be among the current most in demand occupations in Canada. Since newcomers in Canada are collectively responsible for contributing nearly 100% of the labor force growth in recent years, this projects a bulk-hiring climate in these industries –for newcomers that apply for Canada PR or Work Permit.
