Alberta conducts 3-4 Express Entry draws each month - but the information on the draws held is typically posted at one week later. The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) frequently searches the federal Express Entry pool to select candidates to apply for permanent residency.
In February, Alberta conducted three Express Entry draws that invited a total of 157 candidates for permanent residency. Invited candidates had work experience in in-demand occupations in Alberta including Healthcare and Construction.

If you have been invited in these draws, you must send a copy of your invitation letter - along with the requested information to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) within 2 weeks of receiving the invitation.
If you did not receive an invitation in this round - do not withdraw your application or create a new one. Your profile is valid for 12 months in the AAIP pool of candidates. You may be invited in the next Alberta Express Entry draw.

On February 13, 2024, Alberta announced the launch of a new immigration stream under AAIP.
The Tourism and Hospitality stream has been established for candidates with a full-time job offer from an approved employer in Alberta. This new stream will help address labour gaps and challenges in the province’s Tourism and Hospitality industry. Applications under this new stream will be accepted from March 1, 2024 - but for a limited number of applications.
The AAIP will prioritise the processing of these applications.
