The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) conducted three Express Entry draws in January 2024. A total of 108 candidates with work experience in Healthcare and Agriculture occupations were targeted in these latest Alberta draws.

If you have been invited in these draws, you may send a copy of your invitation letter - along with the requested information to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) within 2 weeks.

Alberta Express Entry Draws in 2024

In 2024, Alberta will issue Express Entry invitations based on the following priorities:

• Family Connection and Primary occupation in demand
• Dedicated Healthcare Pathway
• Accelerated Tech Pathway
• Priority sectors - Agriculture, Construction, Tourism and Hospitality

Based on available profile information in the federal Express Entry portal, Alberta invites candidates to apply to the program depending on the selection factors or pathway design.

Minimum requirements

You may be eligible to receive an invitation in the upcoming Alberta PNP draw if:

• You have an active profile in the federal Express Entry pool.
• You meet the criteria of at least one of the three Express Entry streams.
• Your primary occupation is in demand in Alberta.
• Demonstrate intent to work and live in Alberta.
• You have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300.

Factors that increase your chances of selection

Your chances of receiving an invitation from Alberta may increase if:

• You have an Alberta job offer.
• You are a graduate of a Canadian post-secondary institution.
• You have a direct family member living in Canada as a permanent resident or citizen.
• French is your first language.
• Your Express Entry profile is valid for more than 5 months.

Alberta Express Entry applications in 2024 are currently being processed between 1-2 months.

The AINP frequently searches the federal Express Entry pool to select and invite potential candidates to apply for a Canada PR visa. The size & frequency of the draws are determined by the AAIP’s application backlog at that time. AAIP draws are usually held every week - with some exceptions.

Information on Alberta latest draws conducted is typically posted approximately one month.
