The Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program (AAIP) conducted a total of four draws in the months of March and April. Two in each month.

AAIP frequently searches IRCC’s Express Entry pool to find candidates that meet the criteria of one of PNP’s streams. Notification of Interest (NOI) letters issued in these draws added up to a total of 405 candidates across to candidates under AAIP’s Express Entry stream.

The following requirements will apply to Alberta Express Entry invitation rounds in 2023:

  • 25% of the nominations will be allocated to candidates whose profession is mentioned on the Alberta Occupation In-demand List - and has a family connection in Alberta.
  • 50% of the nominations will be allocated to candidates whose primary occupation is in the healthcare, construction, agriculture, hospitality, and tourism sectors.
  • 25% of the nominations will be allocated to candidates under Alberta’s Accelerated Tech Pathway.

The dates of the next Alberta PNP draw are not posted before they take place. Information on draws conducted is typically posted approximately one month after the date of the draw.

If you have been invited.

If you have received an NOI letter from Alberta, you must now send a copy of the letter – along with additional information to the Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program (AAIP) by email within 2 weeks of receiving the letter.

Immigrate to Alberta

AAIP accepts applications from candidates through the following four immigration pathways: Alberta Opportunity Pathway, Express Entry Pathway, Farmer Self-Employed Pathway, and Overseas Graduate Entrepreneur Pathway.

With Alberta’s booming economy and over 100,000 job vacancies to fill - the province is in need of more skilled workers. Since October 2022, Alberta has opened up numerous new pathways and established priority processing mechanisms in an effort to attract more skilled immigrants. According to its increased immigration intake targets, Alberta will now look to welcome 9,750 nominations in 2023.

Alberta’s increased immigration intake targets will continue the province’s economic momentum for the coming years.

Now is indeed the best time to immigrate to Alberta.
