The Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program (AAIP), conducted four back-to-back Express Entry draws in July. AAIP frequently searches IRCC’s Express Entry pool to find candidates that meet the criteria of one of Alberta PNP’s streams.

The Alberta PNP latest draws held in July, saw invitations being issued to a total of 318 candidates across four Express Entry invitation rounds. Invited candidates required a minimum CRS score of 302 - to be eligible for these invitation rounds.

July 04, 2023

  • Number of NOIs issued: 12
  • Requirement: Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, Alberta job offer, CRS score 300-1200
  • CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate: 354

July 11, 2023

  • Number of NOIs issued: 150
  • Requirement: Priority sector - Tourism and hospitality occupation with Alberta job offer, CRS score 300-500
  • CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate: 435

July 13, 2023

  • Number of NOIs issued: 142
  • Requirement: Family connection and primary occupation in demand, CRS score 300-500
  • CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate: 302.

July 18, 2023

  • Number of NOIs issued: 14
  • Requirement: Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, Alberta job offer, CRS score 300 and above
  • CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate: 311

If you have received an NOI letter from Alberta, you must now send a copy of the letter - along with additional information to the Alberta Advantage Immigrant Program (AAIP) by email within 2 weeks of receiving the letter.

Alberta Express Entry draws in 2023

The following requirements will apply to Alberta Express Entry draws scheduled to be conducted in 2023:

  • 25% of the nominations will be allocated to candidates whose profession is mentioned on the Alberta Occupation In-demand List - and has a family connection in Alberta.
  • 50% of the nominations will be allocated to candidates whose primary occupation is in the healthcare, construction, agriculture, hospitality, and tourism sectors.
  • 25% of the nominations will be allocated to candidates under Alberta’s Accelerated Tech Pathway.

The size & frequency of the Notification of Interest (NOI) draw is determined by the AAIP’s application backlog at that time. AAIP draws are usually held on a bi-weekly basis - with some exceptions. The dates of the next Alberta PNP draws are not posted before they take place. Information on draws conducted is typically posted approximately one month after the date of the draw.
