British Columbia invites candidates on a bi-weekly basis - who are registered in the pool to apply to the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The information provided in the Skills Immigration registrations by the candidates is used to rank the ones who are most likely to meet the economic and labour market needs in the province.
In 2024, targeted invitations under the BC PNP draws may be issued based on one or more of the following factors:
BC PNP invited a total of 10,061 candidates across 51 Skills Immigration invitation rounds in 2023. British Columbia conducted 4-5 draws almost every month in 2023. The same trend is expected to be carried on for 2024 as well.
To secure a nomination under BC PNP (British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program), you must first confirm your eligibility for the specific stream you're interested in, like skilled workers or entrepreneurs. Once confirmed, you'll need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) online, providing accurate details about your education, work experience, and language skills. If your EOI is selected, you'll receive an invitation to apply for nomination from BC PNP.
Upon receiving the invitation, you'll need to complete the application form and submit all required documents within the specified timeframe. BC PNP will then assess your application based on the program's criteria. If approved, you'll receive a provincial nomination certificate from BC PNP, which you can use to apply for Canada PR visa - with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
It's crucial to adhere to all requirements after receiving your nomination to maintain your eligibility for permanent residence. Following these steps diligently can help you navigate the process smoothly and increase your chances of securing a nomination under BC PNP.
