British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has conducted a new Skills Immigration draw.

The BC PNP latest draw held on July 25, 2023, saw ITAs being issued a total of 230 Skilled Workers and International Graduates. Invited candidates required a minimum CRS score of 60 to be eligible for this invitation round.

This was the fourth Skills Immigration draw conducted by British Columbia in July. The previous invitation round was held on July 18, 2023.

BC PNP Latest Draw - July 25, 2023

Category 1: General Draw (includes tech occupations)

  • Total number of invitations: 175
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers & International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 87-109

Category 2: Targeted Draw (Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202))

  • Total number of invitations: 30
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

Category 3: Targeted Draw (Healthcare)

  • Total number of invitations: 20
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

Category 4: Targeted Draw (Other Priority Occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104))

  • Total number of invitations: 5
  • Streams invited: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

British Columbia issues ITAs to eligible candidates on a weekly basis, with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the BC PNP latest draw - are all determined by the needs of the BC PNP application inventory at the time of the invitation round.

British Columbia Occupations in Demand List 2023

Targeted invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration streams in a draw may be based on one or more of the following factors:

  • Education - level, and field of education and where it was completed
  • Eligible professional designations in B.C.
  • Language skills
  • Occupation
  • Duration and skill level of work experience
  • Wage and/or skill level of job offer
  • Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
  • Strategic priorities - factors that address specific labor market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

The British Columbia Skills Immigration Ranking system uses the following point grid called the BC PNP points calculator to rank candidates who have registered profiles. Only those candidates with the most competitive scores will be invited to apply to the Skills Immigration stream.

BC PNP’s Skills Immigration Stream

The British Columbia Skills Immigration is a collection of immigration streams managed under the BCPNP.

  • BC Skilled Worker
  • BC Healthcare Professional
  • BC International Graduate
  • BC International Post-Graduate
  • BC Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker

Through the BC PNP Skills Immigration stream, skilled workers and international graduates with skills and experience required to successfully contribute to the BC economy - may be issued an ITA to apply for Canada PR.

It's important to note that the BC PNP is highly competitive, and meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee you will receive a nomination. Therefore, ensuring that your application is as strong as possible is essential by providing all the required documentation and presenting your qualifications and experience in the best possible light.
