The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) has conducted a new skills immigration draw. This was the third skills immigration draw conducted by BC PNP in December. The previous draws were held on December 05th and 12th, 2023.
BC PNP frequently searches its pool of applications to find potential candidates and invite them to apply for permanent residency. The BC PNP latest draw held on December 18, 2023, saw invitations being issued to 230 skilled workers and international graduates. Candidates required a minimum score of 60 to be eligible for an invitation.
Immigrate to BC: Quick Eligibility
Stream | Draw Types | Minimum Score Required | Number of invitations issued |

Healthcare Draw | 60 | 29 | |
Construction Draw | 75 | 32 | |
Childcare Draw | 60 | 62 |
The December 18th draw is a continuation of British Columbia issuing high invites with low scores. This draw marks another significant step by British Columbia in attracting foreign workers and graduates to contribute to the province’s diverse and thriving labour market.
BC PNP has been conducting 4-5 draws almost every month in 2023. The same trend is expected to be carried on for December as well.
The expected BC PNP next draw prediction is December 27, 2023.
BC PNP draws are conducted every week - typically on a Wednesday. The timing, frequency, and CRS score of these draws are determined by the BC PNP - and can vary depending on various factors including, the province’s economy, labour market, and the immigration targets set in the Canada Immigration Level Plans.
The BC PNP plays a pivotal role in helping support and sustain the province’s economy. The BC PNP is one of the most sought-after Canada Immigration pathways for aspiring immigrants from across the world.
There are two streams that the BC PNP is currently managing:
Candidates are ranked and evaluated based on the points achieved under the BC PNP points calculator. Points are assigned based on Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Proficiency, Adaptability, and Spousal Sponsorship. Candidates with the highest scores are issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency to the BC PNP.
Processing times are based on the date BC PNP receives your complete application. About 80 per cent of cases will be processed between 10-12 months.
