BC PNP Skills Immigration Draws

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration draws are a pathway for skilled workers to gain permanent residence in British Columbia, Canada.

Through these draws, the province invites individuals with the skills and experience needed in the local labour market. The draws typically target candidates in specific categories, such as

  • Skilled Workers,
  • International Graduates,
  • Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled Workers, and
  • Healthcare Professionals.

Candidates must first register in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), where they are scored based on factors like job offer, work experience, education, language ability, and location in B.C. Those with the highest scores in the BC PNP points calculator are invited to apply for provincial nomination.

Once invited, candidates have a limited time to submit their application (30 days). If successful, they receive a nomination from B.C., which significantly boosts their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence through the federal Express Entry system.

The draws are usually held regularly, and the score needed to receive an invitation can vary depending on the labour market needs of the province. The BC PNP Skills Immigration Draws offer a promising route for skilled workers looking to settle in British Columbia.
