Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) finally conducted an all-program Express Entry draw on January 11.
The weekly Express Entry draws were anxiously awaited by all candidates with an active profile in the pool throughout December. The last draw was conducted on 23rd November. Express Entry draws were expected to be held on the 7th, 14th, and 21st of December – as well as on the 4th of January. But there was no draw.

The January 11 draw is the first all-program Express Entry draw conducted in 2023.
Candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) were eligible to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the latest Express Entry draw.
This all-program Express Entry draw issued a total of 5,500 ITAs to candidates, with a minimum CRS score of 507.
The tie-breaking rule was set for this draw for December 06, 2022, at 11:00:07 UTC. Candidates that met the minimum score threshold were only invited if they had submitted their profile to the Express Entry pool before this date.

The January 11 draw is a continuation of higher ITAs. This has been the trend since all-program Express Entry draws resumed on July 6. With Canada’s “new & improved” Immigration Level Plans, Canada is all set to welcome over 450,000 immigrants in 2023. With ITAs being issued in large numbers – and the record-breaking low CRS scores - now is the best time to immigrate to Canada.
