The Minister of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI) has conducted a new Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) draw on March 16, 2023.

Quebec High Demand Occupation List 2023

The latest Quebec RSWP draw was targeted to potential candidates with academic and employment experience in an in-demand occupation in Canada – and a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

Who was invited?

The March 16th draw saw invitations being issued to 619 skilled workers to apply for permanent selection. Candidates had to have their profiles in the Arrima Expression of Interest (EOI) system with scores equal to or greater than 578 points. They also had a valid job offer outside the territory of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

This was the fourth Quebec RSWP draw of the year 2023.

Who is eligible to apply for Quebec RSWP?

The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) is a Canadian immigration program designed to attract skilled workers who wish to apply for Canada PR - and live & work in Quebec. To be eligible for the program, you must meet certain requirements, including:

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education: You must have completed at least a high school diploma or an equivalent degree. However, having a higher level of education, such as a bachelor's or master's degree, can increase your chances of being selected.
  • Language proficiency: You must demonstrate proficiency in French or English. To do so, you may be required to take a language test such as the Test d’Évaluation de français (TEF) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
  • Work experience: You must have at least one year of work experience in a skilled occupation within the past five years.
  • Financial stability: You must demonstrate that you have enough funds to support yourself and your dependents while living in Quebec.
  • Adaptability: You must demonstrate that you have the ability to adapt to life in Quebec, including its culture, values, and way of life.

Additionally, Quebec has its own selection criteria for skilled workers. The province has a points-based system known as the Quebec points calculator - that evaluates applicants based on factors such as education, work experience, language proficiency, age, and other criteria. To be eligible for the program, you must score a minimum number of points.
