The December 26th EOI draw is a continuation of Manitoba conducting draws with higher ITAs and lower CRS scores. With back-to-back draws being conducted by Manitoba, it is a clear indication that the province targets to increase the number of candidates eligible to receive a provincial nomination under MPNP-managed streams.
Launched in 1998, Manitoba was the first Canadian province to establish its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) currently manages five key streams – designed to “support & sustain” the province’s economy.
Candidates wanting to apply for a provincial nomination are mandated to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP. Based on the provided answers, candidates complete a series of questions online and receive EOI Ranking Points in the Manitoba PNP points calculator. Their profile is then entered into a pool of all eligible candidates. Manitoba then invites the highest-scoring candidates in the pool to submit a full application to the MPNP on a regular basis.
MPNP issues ITAs to eligible candidates on a monthly basis, with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the Manitoba PNP next draw prediction – are determined by the needs of the MPNP application inventory.
