Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the third invitation round conducted by the department this month. Previously, the department invited 1,350 candidates to apply for Canada Permanent Residency (Canada PR) on 8 January 2025.
Today, candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream were invited. If you have been invited to this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your ITA will no longer be valid.
The latest Express Entry draw held on January 23, 2025, invited 4,000 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) class. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 527 to be eligible for an invitation.
Draw No: 333
Type of Draw: Canadian Experience Class
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
Check Your Eligibility for Canada PR
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws are an integral part of Canada’s immigration system, aimed at individuals with skilled work experience in Canada. Managed under the Express Entry Program, the CEC stream provides a pathway to permanent residency (PR) for eligible candidates.
In these draws, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) selects candidates from the Express Entry pool based on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores. Factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency determine the CRS score. Unlike other streams, CEC candidates do not require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or a job offer to qualify.
Applicants must have at least one year of skilled, professional, or technical work experience in Canada within the last three years under a valid work permit. The applicant must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English or French (minimum CLB of 5 or 7, depending on the job type).
Another advantage of the CEC program is the exemption from providing proof of settlement funds, a requirement for other streams. Additionally, CEC draws often feature lower CRS cut-off scores, making it easier for skilled workers in Canada to receive an invitation to apply for PR.
