Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. The department issued invitations to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
This was the first Express Entry draw conducted by IRCC in July.
The Express Entry latest draw held on July 02, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 920 candidates across a PNP-specific draw. Invited candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 739 to be eligible.
Type of draw: Provincial Nominee Program
If you’ve been invited to this Express Entry latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency (PR) to the IRCC. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
If you did not get invited
If you did not get invited in this draw, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the date of submission. Do not withdraw your application, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry draw.
Provinces and Territories (PTs) in Canada that operate a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) can nominate candidates through the Express Entry pool. Candidates with a PT nomination receive an additional 600 points towards their CRS score – which usually guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
PTs have direct access to the Express Entry pool through a dedicated pool which allows them to view and nominate candidates in the pool. The process to apply for Canada PR through a PNP can be carried out in three easy steps.
STEP 1: Check your eligibility and make sure you qualify for the PNP where you want to live.
STEP 2: Contact the province or territory and apply for a provincial nomination.
STEP 3: If you are nominated in an Express Entry draw, apply for Canada PR with the federal government.
Express Entry draws are generally conducted every two weeks, typically on a Wednesday. The number of ITAs, minimum CRS score, and draw-type are determined by the IRCC. This varies depending on factors including, the Canadian economy, labour market, and the immigration targets set in the Canada Immigration Level Plans 2024-2026.
