Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that starting April 30, 2024, 9:00:00 AM Eastern Time, the fees to apply for Canada PR will be increased.
IRCC stated that this increase in Canada PR fees is being introduced according to Canada’s Immigrant and Refugee Protection (IRPR), which is calculated “in accordance with the cumulative percentage increase to the Consumer Price Index for Canada, published by Statistics Canada.”

IRCC stated that, in addition to dependent children and protected persons, the following applicants are exempt from paying the Right of Permanent Residence (RPR) fee:
Furthermore, the department clarifies that “Permit Holder” applicants are not eligible to include accompanying family members as part of their PR applications. Instead, all individuals applying for Canada PR under this class must submit their own applications.
IRCC updates the fees to apply for Canada PR, every two years. Candidates who apply for Canada PR on or after April 30, 2024 - must pay the updated processing fee.
