Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the department in August.
If you have been invited in this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence (PR) application to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.
The latest Express Entry draw was held on August 13, 2024. A total of 763 candidates across a PNP-specific draw were invited. The minimum CRS score required to be eligible for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) was 690.

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
If you did not get invited
If you were not invited, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the submission date. Do not withdraw your application, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry draw.
July was a busy month for IRCC. A total of nine Express Entry draws were conducted that invited a total of 25,125 candidates.
The Express Entry Program saw multiple rounds of invitations across various categories, showcasing the diversity and flexibility of Canada's immigration programs. These draws highlight Canada's commitment to attracting a wide range of skilled workers to support its economic and social development.

Express Entry draws have followed an unusual pattern in 2024. Usually, IRCC conducts Express Entry draws every two weeks - on a Wednesday. This has made it difficult to predict exactly when the next draw will occur. However, the trend of issuing more invitations with lower CRS scores is also expected to be carried out in August.
