Here are the details of the new Manitoba EOI draw:

Key Takeaways

Candidates in the September 8 Manitoba EOI draw were considered if they were directly invited under Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment initiative or had a valid Express Entry ID and Job Seeker validation code. Such candidates were only eligible to receive a nomination if their Express Entry profile was valid at the time of the application assessment.

Candidates who have surpassed the minimum score requirement, but haven’t yet received an LAA – this could be because:

  • They have indicated that they have taken an authorized language proficiency test in English/French – but have not provided a valid “Test Number” or
  • They have indicated that they have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) under a Strategic Initiative – but did not provide a valid “Invitation Number”.

Also, candidates working under a regulated in-demand occupation in Manitoba who are fully licensed to work in the province – have been invited to this draw.

Manitoba’s EOI draws

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) was established to support & sustain the province’s economy and labor market shortages.

Candidates wanting to apply for a provincial nomination under the MPNP – have five options to choose from:

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream.
  • Skilled Worker Overseas Stream.
  • Manitoba Business Investor Stream.
  • International Education Stream.
  • Modern Community Driven Initiative.

Candidates applying under any of the above-mentioned streams are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP. Eligible candidates are placed in the Manitoba pool, where the highest-scoring candidates are issued a Letter of Advice to apply in an EOI draw.

The size and frequency of a Manitoba EOI draw will be determined by the needs of the MPNP application inventory. Selections will take place on a monthly basis, with some exceptions. The dates of the selections will not be posted before they take place.
