The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the province in 2025. Earlier this year, PEI’s Office of Immigration announced the PEI PNP draw schedule for 2025. However, the latest draw was not part of the announced draw schedule.
If you have been invited to this latest PEI PNP draw, you will receive an email with your file number and instructions for submitting your application. At this stage, you will need to complete the required application forms, and your employer must fill out the employer forms.
The PEI PNP latest draw held on January 24, 2024, invited a total of 22 candidates from PEI’s Labour and Express Entry stream. Invitations were issued to individuals currently working or with confirmed job offers in PEI in the healthcare sector.
No Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations were issued in this draw. Over the last 12 months, the province has issued 924 invitations to Labour & Express Entry candidates and 10 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates.
If you were not invited
If you didn't receive an invitation in the PEI PNP latest draw, your profile will stay active in the candidate pool. There's no need to withdraw your application - you might be invited in the next PEI PNP draw.
To immigrate through the Prince Edward Island PNP, you must first create an EOI profile.
The EOI profile will include details of the selection factors mentioned below. Once you submit your profile, you will be placed in the EOI pool - along with other candidates. Subsequently, you will be assigned a score, based on the details provided in your EOI profile.
PEI EOI System - Selection Factors
If you meet the minimum score requirements and other eligibility criteria, you will be invited to apply for permanent residence in a PEI PNP draw.
Last year, the PEI Office of Immigration selected and prioritised skilled workers in higher-demand sectors such as health care, trades, childcare, and other key industries facing labour shortages. The same trend is expected to be carried out in 2025 as well. Currently, 80% of applications under PEI PNP are being processed within 8 to 10 months.
