Quebec’s Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI) has conducted a new draw. This was the first draw conducted by the department in August.

If you have been invited to this latest Quebec draw, you will receive a notification in your Arrima message centre with the information needed to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR).

Latest Quebec Draw - Results

The latest Quebec draw held on August 01, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 1,490 candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP). The date and time of extraction from the Arrima bank was July 29, 2024, at 6:25 a.m.

The invitations were issued to candidates that met the following criteria:

  • They had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français or its equivalent.
  • They had a score equal to or greater than 580 points.

Invitations were also issued to candidates that met the following criteria:

  • They had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français or its equivalent.
  • They had a valid job offer outside the territory of Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

The decision to invite candidates to submit an application for permanent residence is made on the basis of the invitation criteria set by Quebec’s Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI). You have a maximum of 60 days to submit the application and pay the processing fees.

Once this timeframe passes, your profile will no longer be valid.

Quebec’s Regular Skilled Worker Program

The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) was established for foreign workers looking to immigrate to Quebec permanently to work. To start your application process, you must first declare your interest in moving to Quebec. For this, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

If your EOI profile matches the criteria needed in Quebec, the Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI) will send you an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

To get selected, you must have certain training and professional skills that will facilitate your job integration in Quebec. Other selection factors include:

  • Language proficiency
  • Your age
  • The characteristics of your spouse
  • The presence of children

These factors and their criteria are assessed using a selection grid aka Quebec points calculator. The higher your score, the more your chances of getting invited in the upcoming Quebec RSWP draw.

On average, 80% of applications under the Quebec RSWP are processed within 8-10 months.
