The Skills Immigration category targets foreign workers and international graduates with the qualifications needed to fill an in-demand occupation in British Columbia.
The process begins with submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) or registration to the BC PNP, where candidates are ranked using the BC PNP points calculator. Targeted invitations in this Skills Immigration draw are issued based on the following selection factors:
Every week, typically on a Wednesday, the province conducts a draw and invites the highest-scoring candidates to submit a complete application for permanent residence to the BC PNP. Currently, 80% of applications under the BC PNP are being processed within 8 to 10 months.
