Fourth BC PNP draw of the month invites 168 candidates!

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducted a new Skills Immigration draw on April 25, 2023. This new BC PNP draw issued a total of 168 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates in the BC PNP pool.

This fourth BC PNP draw of April issued ITAs to apply for Canada PR under the following categories.

Who was invited?

CATEGORY 1: Targeted Draw (Tech)

Tech

  • Number of Invitations: 113
  • Stream: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 90

CATEGORY 2: Targeted Draw (Childcare and Healthcare)

Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202)

  • Number of Invitations: 28
  • Stream: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

Healthcare

  • Number of Invitations: 27
  • Stream: Skilled Workers and International Graduates (including EEBC option)
  • Minimum score: 60

BC PNP issues ITAs to eligible candidates on a weekly basis, with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the next British Columbia PNP draw - are determined by the needs of the BC PNP application inventory.

BC PNP’s Skills Immigration Category

The BC PNP Skills Immigration category is designed to attract skilled and semi-skilled workers in high-demand occupations in British Columbia (BC). The category includes the following sub-categories:

  • Skilled Worker: This sub-category is for skilled workers with post-secondary education or training and work experience in a skilled occupation.
  • Healthcare Professional: This sub-category is for healthcare professionals with work experience in one of the designated healthcare occupations in BC.
  • International Graduate: This sub-category is for international graduates who have completed their studies at a designated post-secondary institution in Canada and have a job offer from a BC employer.
  • International Post-Graduate: This sub-category is for international graduates who have completed a master's or doctoral degree in the natural, applied, or health sciences from a designated institution in BC and have a job offer from a BC employer.
  • Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: This sub-category is for workers in certain occupations, such as tourism, hospitality, food processing, and long-haul trucking, who have a job offer from a BC employer and meet the minimum requirements for the sub-category.

To apply under the BC PNP Skills Immigration category, applicants must first create an online profile and register with the BC PNP. The BC PNP uses a points-based system, aka BC PNP points calculator to rank candidates based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability. The highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residency in BC.
