The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the fourth invitation round conducted by the department in August.
If you have been invited in this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your invitation will no longer be valid.
The latest Express Entry draw was held on August 26, 2024. A total of 1,121 candidates from Express Entry’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams were invited. Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 694 to be eligible for an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Draw No: #311
Type of draw: Provincial Nominee Program
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
If you did not get invited
If you were not invited, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months from the date of submission. Do not withdraw your application, you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next Express Entry draw.

The Express Entry Program’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws are a key part of Canada’s immigration system. They allow provinces and territories to select candidates from the federal Express Entry pool who meet specific labour market needs. These draws are designed to help provinces attract skilled workers who can fill gaps in their workforce and contribute to the local economy.
Each province has its own criteria for selecting candidates based on its unique economic and demographic needs. When a candidate is nominated by a province, they receive additional points in their Express Entry profile - significantly increasing their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
The process typically starts with a candidate expressing interest in a specific province. If the province identifies a match, they issue a nomination. This nomination boosts the candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score by 600 points, making it more likely that they will be invited to apply for permanent residency during the upcoming Express Entry draw.
