Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the fourth invitation round conducted by the department in October.
If you have been invited in this latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence (PR) application to the IRCC. Your Invitation to Apply (ITA) will no longer be valid if this timeframe passes.
The latest Express Entry draw held on October 21, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 648 candidates across a PNP-specific draw. Invited candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 791 to be eligible for an invitation.
Draw No: #319
Type of draw: Provincial Nominee Program
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
This was the fourth Express Entry draw conducted by IRCC in October. Including the latest Express Entry draw, the department has welcomed 3,761 candidates to apply for Canada PR this month. Whereas in 2024, IRCC has so far issued 88,635 ITAs to candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Express Entry Program PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) specific draws are a part of Canada’s immigration system where provinces select candidates from the Express Entry pool. These draws are tailored to meet the specific needs of each province. For example, a province might focus on skilled workers in certain industries like healthcare, IT, or construction.
If you’re chosen in a PNP-specific draw, you receive a provincial nomination, which adds 600 points to your Express Entry profile. This boost practically guarantees you an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada.
Different provinces hold their own PNP-specific draws, such as Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. To increase your chances, you can also directly apply to a province’s PNP if you meet their requirements. These draws are a great option for candidates with lower CRS scores who are skilled in fields in demand across Canada.
