Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the department in 2024.
The Express Entry draw held on January 10, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 1,510 candidates across a general draw. Invited candidates also required a minimum CRS score of 546 to be eligible.
In a general draw, candidates from all three Express Entry streams: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) - are considered for an invitation.

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
The most recent Express Entry draws took place from December 18-21, 2023. A total of seven draws were held in December. This included two general draws and five category-based Express Entry draws.
Within just 15 days, IRCC managed to invite a total of 15,045 candidates to apply for a Canada PR visa.

There is no one-size-fits-all type of profile, which is eligible for a Canada PR in an all-program Express Entry draw. Factors that influence your CRS score include Age, Language Proficiency, Education, Work Experience, Spousal Sponsorship, Provincial Nomination, Siblings in Canada, and Adaptability.

The expected Canada Express Entry next draw prediction is January 25, 2023.
Express Entry draws are typically conducted at regular two-week intervals, on a Wednesday. The timing, frequency, and CRS score of these draws are determined by the IRCC - and can vary depending on various factors including, the Canadian economy, labour market, and the immigration targets set in the Canada Immigration Level Plans 2024-2026.
