IRCC, in its latest round of invitations conducted on March 12, 2024, has issued 2,850 invitations to apply across a General draw. Applicants required a minimum CRS score of 525 to qualify for an invitation.

When you create your Express Entry profile, you must provide all the details accurately. Then you shall get a message in your account as to which program you have been invited to apply for.

There is an evaluation by the IRCC to see whether the information provided in your Express Entry profile matches your Canada PR application. Which is why your documents will be of utmost importance.

You need to attach documents to support your claims in your Canada PR application. Submission of your complete application must be within 60 days of receiving the Invitation to apply.

Invitations to apply to the Provincial Nominee Program, Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program may be issued through this round of invitations.

Ensure that if there is an update or a change in any of the information, you must update it. To get a score estimate you can even use the CRS score calculator available on the official website of IRCC.

Steps to apply for Canada Express entry

1st Step - You need to answer a few questions to be able to assess whether you are eligible for any of the express entry Canada programs.

Questions can be asked about your:

  • Nationality
  • Age
  • Language fluency
  • Family connections
  • Educational qualifications
  • Work experience
  • Proof of funds
  • Job offer details

Also, you need to read the detailed requirements of the immigration program you wish to apply for.

2nd Step - In case you qualify for one or more Express entry program and submit your profile. This will make you eligible for holding a rank on the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

For invitation, you need to score above the minimum cutoff in the latest Express Entry draw. You can use the CRS tool to get an estimate.

3rd Step - Attach your documents, for example for language proficiency attach your test results by approved language test providers like IELTS.

4th Step - Fill out details in your profile. If qualified you will be accepted in the Express entry pool of applicants and be granted a CRS score.

5th Step - Finally you get an Invitation to Apply if you are one of the highest scorers in the pool. Your application can be processed within 6 months if you have submitted a complete application with all documents required.

February has see back to back draws across Agri, healthcare, general and French language fluency categories. Even March has started with a bang with a General draw issuing 2,850 ITAs.
