IRCC invites 733 candidates in an Express Entry PNP-specific draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new draw.

This was the first invitation round conducted by the department in November. Last month, IRCC conducted six Express Entry draws that invited almost 6,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence (PR). Today, IRCC welcomed candidates across an Express Entry PNP-specific draw.

If you have been invited to this Express Entry latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence to the IRCC. If this timeframe passes, your Invitation to Apply (ITA) will no longer be valid.

Express Entry Latest Draw - Results

The Express Entry latest draw was held on November 12, 2024. A total of 733 ITAs were issued to candidates across a PNP-specific draw. Invited candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 812 to be eligible for an invitation.

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Express Entry PNP-Specific Draws

Express Entry’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) specific draws are a part of Canada’s immigration system where provinces select candidates from the Express Entry pool. These draws are tailored to meet the specific needs of each province. For example, a province might focus on skilled workers in certain industries like Healthcare, IT, or Construction.

If you’re chosen in a PNP-specific draw, you receive a provincial nomination, which adds 600 points to your Express Entry profile. This boost practically guarantees you an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada.

Express Entry Draws In October

October has been a busy month for draws conducted under the Express Entry Program. Whereas in 2024, IRCC has so far issued 91,568 ITAs to candidates in the Express Entry pool. The same trend of issuing a high number of ITAs with low CRS scores is expected to be carried out throughout 2024.

Currently, 80% of Canada PR applications under the Express Entry program are being processed within 6 months.
