Under its latest draw on 16th January 2024, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 208 invitations under its Skills and Entrepreneur Immigration category.

The Skills Immigration draw of BC PNP was conducted for its Skilled Worker, International Graduate along with an option for Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) stream. Another draw on 16th January 2024 was also conducted under the Entrepreneur Immigration category of BC PNP.

For the Entrepreneur Immigration Category of BC PNP, the minimum score is between 116 to 135.

During 2023, British Columbia PNP issued ITAs for 10,061 applicants across 51 invitation rounds. BC PNP has been carrying out 4-5 draws almost every month in 2023. Even 2024 is expected to have this trend continued.

Applying for the Skills Immigration category of BC PNP to get targeted invitations is based on the following requirements:

  • Education – Your area of education and level and from where you have passed
  • Qualified professional titles
  • Expertise in Language
  • Time Duration and skill level of work proficiency
  • Salary or level of skill in a job offer
  • Genuine intention to stay, work, and settle in the province
  • Looking at the strategic demands such as those that meet the particular labor demands of British Columbia or even assist pilot projects by government and initiatives.

Applying for the Entrepreneur Immigration category of BC PNP to get targeted invitations is based on the following requirements:

  • The Registration score of the Applicant
  • A particular area where the applicants wish to establish their business
  • Population of the community within which the applicant proposes to start their business
  • Whether the planned business of the applicant is a startup or an acquisition of a current business
  • Whether the proposed business is in line with the recognized priority business segments

Eligibility Requirements for BC PNP in 2024

  • Applicant should have a full-time job offer for a TEER 4 or 5 occupations (leaving the International Post-Graduate Group)
  • Candidate must hold a salary offer as per the provincial wage rates (exception is International Post-Graduate Class)
  • Submit Proof of Supporting yourself as well as your family (again excluding the International Post-Graduate Class)
  • Should be able to comply with the minimum requirements for language fluency (specifically catering to TEER 2, 3, 4, or 5 ((CLB) level 4 across all abilities. This is required for Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker Category especially.
  • Adhere to the added necessities according to the specifications of your chosen category.
  • Even your Canadian employer should be able to meet all the eligibility requirements (barring the International Post-Graduate Category)
