The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) uses a points-based system to rank and select candidates from its pool of applicants. This system is known as the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) aka BC PNP points calculator.
Under SIRS, candidates are assessed based on factors such as their level of education, language proficiency, work experience, and whether they have a job offer in BC. Each factor is assigned a point value, and candidates are given a score based on their total points.
Periodically, BC PNP will conduct draws from the pool of candidates and invite those with the highest scores to apply for provincial nomination. The minimum score required for an invitation to apply (ITA) can vary depending on the program and the specific draw.
It's important to note that meeting the minimum score does not guarantee an ITA, as other factors such as program quotas and eligibility requirements can also come into play. Additionally, BC PNP reserves the right to adjust the point values assigned to various factors or the minimum scores required for ITAs at any time.
