Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This was the third invitation round conducted by the department in March. The previous invitation rounds of the month were held on the 03rd and 06th of March.
If you’ve been invited to the latest Express Entry draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the IRCC. Your Invitation to Apply (ITA) will not be valid if this timeframe passes.
The latest Express Entry draw was held on March 17, 2025. ITAs were issued to 536 candidates across a PNP-specific draw. Invited candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 736 to be eligible for an invitation.
Draw No: 340
Type of Draw: Provincial Nominee Program
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws allow provinces and territories in Canada to nominate candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for Canada PR. To be eligible for a PNP draw, you must first create an Express Entry profile and meet the basic requirements for one of the three programs:
Each province has its own criteria for selecting candidates, often based on labor market needs and skills shortages. Eligibility factors typically include work experience, education, language proficiency, and age. You may also need a job offer or connection to the province. Generally, a Provincial Nominee (PN) from any participating province adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, significantly increasing your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
The Express Entry draws conducted in 2025 show a strong focus on the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and French Language Proficiency candidates. The highest invitations were given in French draws, with 6,500 candidates on February 19 and 4,500 on March 6.
PNP draws had varying invitation numbers, but the CRS scores remained high, with the lowest at 667. CEC draws invited 4,000 candidates in each round, with CRS scores gradually decreasing from 542 to 521.

This was the tenth draw conducted by IRCC under the Express Entry Program in 2025. Including the latest Express Entry draw, the department has so far invited 23,183 candidates to apply for Canada PR. Overall, the trends suggest a strong preference for PNP and French-speaking candidates, with moderate opportunities for CEC applicants.
