The latest Express Entry draw was held on May 31, 2024, and saw invitations being issued to 3,000 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Invited candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 522 to be eligible.

CEC Draw: Full List

Express Entry’s Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a program under Canada's Express Entry system, designed to help skilled workers who have already gained work experience in Canada to apply for Canada PR. This is one of the three programs managed under the Express Entry Program.

To be eligible candidates must have:

  • Have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date.
  • Meet the minimum Canadian Level Benchmark (CLB) of CLB 7 (for TEER 0 or TEER 1 jobs) or CLB 5 (for TEER 2 or TEER 3 jobs).
  • Plan to live and work outside of the province of Quebec.

The CEC is an attractive option for many because it values Canadian work experience and allows applicants to transition smoothly from temporary to permanent status. There are no educational requirements for the CEC, but higher education can improve the overall Express Entry score, boosting the chances of receiving an invitation to apply for Canada PR.
