Latest Quebec draw of July invites 1,560 candidates for PR

Quebec’s Minister of Immigration, Francization and Integration (MIFI) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round held by the department in July. 

If you are invited in this latest Quebec draw, you will receive a communication in your Arrima message centre with the information needed to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR).

Latest Quebec Draw - Results

The latest Quebec draw held on July 25, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 1,560 candidates from Quebec’s Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP). The date and time of extraction from the Arrima bank: July 22, 2024, at 6:25 a.m.

These invitations were issued to candidates that met the following criteria:

• They had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français or its equivalent.
• Their occupation appeared in the following list of National Occupation Classification (NOC):

0213 Computer and information systems managers
2131 Civil engineers
2132 Mechanical engineers
2133 Electrical and electronics engineers
2141 Industrial and manufacturing engineers
2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
2171 Information systems analysts and consultants
2172 Database analysts and data administrators
2173 Software engineers and designers
2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers
2175 Web designers and developers
2231 Civil engineering technologists and technicians
2232 Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians
2233 Industrial engineering and manufacturing technologists and technicians
2241 Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians
2281 Computer network technicians
2282 User support technicians
2283 Information systems testing technicians
3012 Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
3233 Licensed practical nurses
3413 Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates
4031 Secondary school teachers
4032 Elementary school and kindergarten teachers
4214 Early childhood educators and assistants
5223 Graphics technicians
5225 Audio and video recording technicians
5241 Graphic designers and illustrators

• They had a score equal to or greater than 579 points.

These invitations were also issued to candidates that met the following criteria:

• They had a level 7 oral proficiency (or higher) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français or its equivalent.
• They held a confirmed job offer outside the territory of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

Quebec’s Regular Skilled Worker Program

The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) is a popular immigration pathway for those looking to live and work in the province of Quebec. This program is designed for skilled workers who have the education, work experience, and language abilities to contribute to Quebec's economy. 

To apply, candidates must first create an Expression of Interest (EOI) in the Arrima portal, where they provide details about their skills and qualifications.

The Quebec government then invites the most promising candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). Receiving a CSQ means Quebec has selected you for immigration, and you can then apply for permanent residence with the federal government of Canada.

Key factors considered include your age, education, work experience, language skills in French and English, and your ability to integrate into Quebec society. The program aims to attract individuals who can fill labour market needs and contribute to the vibrant Quebec community.

Currently, 80% of applications under the RSWP are processed within 8 to 10 months.
