Manitoba conducted its first Expression of Interest (EOI) draw of March.
This was the fourth EOI draw conducted through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in 2024. Manitoba issues invitations to apply (ITA) every month, with some exceptions. The size, type, minimum score, and date of the upcoming Manitoba PNP draw - are all determined by the needs of the MPNP application inventory.
The Manitoba PNP latest draw held on March 08, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 104 candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream.
Of the 104 invitations issued in this draw, 20 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Including the March 08 draw, Manitoba PNP has invited 1,084 candidates across four EOI draws in 2024.
Date of Draw | No. of Invitations | Minimum score range | Streams Invited |
March 08 | 104 | 614 | Skilled Worker Overseas |
February 08 | 282 | 619 -713 | Close relative in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas |
January 25 | 275 | 713 - 772 | Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas |
January 11 | 423 | 69 – 823 | Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Close relative in Manitoba selection, International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers Overseas |
The latest draw is a continuation of the Manitoba issuing high invites with low scores. The back-to-back MPNP draws indicate that the province seeks to increase the number of candidates eligible to receive a provincial nomination under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams.
Last year in 2023, Manitoba PNP invited a total of 15,805 candidates across 30 EOI draws. Manitoba has been conducting 1-2 draws almost every month in 2023. The same trend is expected to be carried on for 2024 as well.
The MPNP invites the highest-scoring candidates in the pool to submit a full application to the MPNP. To apply, you must first create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile, and provide accurate information about your education, work experience, language proficiency, and more. Based on the details provided in the EOI profile, your profile will be assigned a score using the MPNP points calculator.
Take note that the specific requirements and eligibility criteria can vary over time and may be adjusted based on the changing needs of the province. Ideally, candidates with higher scores and those who possess skills or work experience in professions listed on the Manitoba In-demand Occupation List have a greater chance of receiving an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
