The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the second invitation round conducted by the province in March. The Manitoba PNP conducts regular draws under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system to invite candidates from the EOI pool to submit a complete application to the MPNP.
If you have been invited to this Manitoba PNP latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit this application to the MPNP. If this timeframe passes, your invitation or Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) will not be valid.
The Manitoba PNP latest draw was held on March 21, 2025. A total of 108 skilled workers were invited to apply for permanent residence. Of the 108 invitations issued in this draw, 23 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba
Profiles declaring that the applicant or their spouse have completed post-secondary education in Manitoba were considered.
Skilled Worker Overseas
Profiles that declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to select candidates for immigration. Here’s how it works:
STEP 1: Submit an EOI: If you meet the eligibility criteria, you create an online profile with details like work experience, education, language skills, and ties to Manitoba. Based on the information provided in the EOI, you are assigned points across six factors:
Factor | Maximum Ranking Points |
Language Proficiency | 125 |
Age | 75 |
Work Experience | 175 |
Education | 125 |
Adaptability | 500 |
Risk Assessment | -200 |
STEP 2: Ranking and Selection: Manitoba conducts EOI draws regularly, inviting the highest-scoring candidates from different categories:
STEP 3: Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA): If you are selected in a draw, you receive an LAA, allowing you to apply for provincial nomination.
STEP 4: Nomination and PR Application: Once approved by Manitoba, you get a nomination, which adds 600 points to your Express Entry profile (if applicable), boosting your chances of getting Canada PR.
Since draws are competitive, higher scores and strong ties to Manitoba increase your chances of selection. Also, the MPNP has a non-refundable $500 application that you pay at the time of submitting your permanent residence application. Manitoba PNP conducts 1-2 draws every month. Including the Manitoba PNP latest draw, the province has so far invited 661 candidates to apply for Canada PR - across six draws in 2025.
Currently, 80% of applications under the MPNP are being processed within 8 to 10 months.
