The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the province in October. Last month in September, the province invited 554 candidates across two MPNP draws.

Today, Manitoba conducted another draw for skilled workers waiting for an invitation in the pool.

If you have been issued a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) in this latest Manitoba PNP draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the MPNP. If this timeframe passes, your LAA (invitation) will no longer be valid.

Manitoba PNP Draws - How do they work?

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draws are an essential part of Manitoba’s immigration system, helping the province select skilled workers who can contribute to its economy and settle in local communities. Through these draws, Manitoba invites candidates from various streams, such as

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba,
  • Skilled Workers Overseas, and
  • International Education Stream.

To participate, candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP, where they are scored based on factors like education, work experience, language proficiency, and connections to Manitoba. Regular draws are held, where candidates with the highest scores are invited to apply for a provincial nomination.

A provincial nomination from Manitoba adds 600 points to a candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in Canada’s Express Entry system, significantly increasing their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.

MPNP draws are a vital pathway for skilled workers, international graduates, and overseas candidates with ties to Manitoba, offering them the opportunity to build a successful future in the province. These draws allow Manitoba to address labour market needs and support its economic growth by attracting qualified talent from around the world.

Currently, 80% of applications under the Manitoba PNP are being processed within 8-10 months.
