How do Manitoba PNP draws work?

Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is the first step to immigrating to Manitoba through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP or Manitoba PNP). An EOI is not an application, but an online profile. Anyone interested in applying through the MPNP must submit an EOI.

You must go through a series of questions online and receive EOI ranking points based on the provided answers. Points are allocated based on the following factors:

EOI’s Ranking System

The EOI ranking system allocates points based on six factors:

  • Age (Maximum points: 75)
  • Language Proficiency (Maximum points: 125)
  • Education (Maximum points: 125)
  • Work Experience (Maximum points: 175)
  • Adaptability (Maximum points: 500)
  • Risk (Maximum points: - 200)

Once you have successfully created an EOI, you will be entered into a pool of all eligible candidates. This is where the MPNP will rank you using several factors in the MPNP points calculator. If you are among the highest-scoring candidates, you will be invited to apply to the MPNP.

This is done regularly through the Manitoba PNP draws. The number of LAAs issued in each draw is dependent on annual processing targets and capacities. Currently, 80% of applications under the MPNP are being processed within 9 to 12 months.
