How does the MPNP pool work?

Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is the first step to immigrating to Manitoba under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). When creating an EOI, you must complete a series of questions and receive EOI ranking points based on the provided answers.

EOI Ranking System

The EOI ranking system allocates points based on six factors:

  • Age (Maximum points: 75)
  • Language Proficiency (Maximum points: 125)
  • Education (Maximum points: 125)
  • Work Experience (Maximum points: 175)
  • Adaptability (Maximum points: 500)
  • Risk (Maximum points: - 200)

Your profile is then entered into the pool of eligible candidates. The MPNP then invites the highest-scoring candidates in the pool to submit a full application to the MPNP. If you are invited, you can use the same login information you created for your EOI to complete your full application. There are no limits to the number of candidates who can submit an EOI - and no deadline.

Currently, 80% of applications under the MPNP are being processed within 8 to 10 months.
