The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted draw by the province in December.
If you have been invited to this Manitoba PNP latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the MPNP. Your Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA or invitation) will no longer be valid if this timeframe passes.
The Manitoba PNP latest draw held on December 18, 2024, saw invitations being issued to 399 candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas and the International Education Stream.
Profiles that declared meeting International Education Stream requirements.
Profiles that declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.
Of the 399 invitations in this draw, 43 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draws are a way for the province to invite skilled workers, business investors, and international graduates to apply for permanent residency. These draws are held regularly to meet Manitoba's labour market and economic needs. This was the 24th draw held by the province in 2024.
In each draw, the province selects candidates from its Expression of Interest (EOI) pool. To enter this pool, applicants must first submit an EOI profile online. Profiles are given a score in the Manitoba PNP points calculator - based on various factors such as age, education, work experience, language skills, and connections to Manitoba. The highest-scoring candidates in specific streams are invited to apply for nomination.
Each Manitoba PNP stream targets different categories of applicants. For example, the Skilled Workers Overseas stream looks for people with strong ties to Manitoba or high-demand skills.
If invited in a draw, candidates receive a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA). They can then submit a complete application to the MPNP for provincial nomination. Once approved, they get 600 additional points in the federal Express Entry system, practically guaranteeing an invitation to apply for Canada PR.
MPNP draws are an excellent opportunity for individuals wanting to live and work in Manitoba. Currently, 80% of applications under the MPNP are being processed within 6 to 8 months.
