Manitoba PNP has conducted its first invitation round of November.

This new draw under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) marks another significant step by Manitoba in attracting skilled workers and international graduates - to contribute to the province’s diverse and thriving labor market.

The Manitoba PNP latest draw held on November 02, 2023, saw invitations being issued to 400 candidates under all three MPNP streams i.e., Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas.

Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #198

The size & frequency of the draw is determined by the MPNP’s application backlog at that time. MPNP draws are usually held on a weekly basis - with some exceptions. Here are the details of the latest Manitoba EOI draw:

Skilled Worker in Manitoba

  • Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 204
  • Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 785

International Education Stream

Profiles that declared meeting International Education Stream eligibility requirements.

  • Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 131

Skilled Worker Overseas

Profiles that declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

  • Number of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 65
  • Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 708

Of the 400 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued in this draw, 60 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

The November 02nd draw is a continuation of Manitoba conducting invitation rounds with higher ITAs and lower scores. The back-to-back draws being conducted by Manitoba PNP, clearly indicate that the province seeks to increase the number of candidates eligible to receive a provincial nomination under its streams.

How does Manitoba’s EOI system work?

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Expression of Interest (EOI) system is a pathway for immigrants to apply to live and work in Manitoba. Here's an overview of how it works:

Create an EOI: First, you need to create an online profile in the Manitoba PNP system. This profile will ask for information about your Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Skills, and other details.

Scoring System: Your profile will be given a score based on the information you provide. The higher your score, the better your chances of being invited to apply for a provincial nomination.

MPNP Points Calculator

Draws: Manitoba holds regular draws to invite candidates with the highest scores to apply for a nomination. If you receive an invitation, you can then apply to the Manitoba PNP.

Nomination: If your application is successful, Manitoba may nominate you to the Canadian government, which will then decide whether to grant you permanent residence.

It is important to note that the specific requirements and scoring criteria can vary over time and may be adjusted based on the changing needs of the province. Generally, candidates with higher scores and those who possess skills or work experience in professions listed on the Manitoba In-demand Occupation List have a greater chance of receiving an invitation to apply for Canada PR.
