The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the second invitation round conducted by the province in February. The MPNP or Manitoba PNP conducts regular draws under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system to invite candidates to submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR).
If you have been invited in this Manitoba PNP latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit the full application. If this timeframe passes, your invitation or Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) will not be valid.
The Manitoba PNP latest draw was held on February 20, 2025.
International Education Stream
Master’s Degree or higher level of completed post-secondary education and close relative in Manitoba selection
Profiles that declared meeting International Education Stream eligibility requirements, declare their highest level of completed education to be a Master’s Degree or higher and declare a Manitoba Supporter who is a close relative, is a Canadian permanent resident or citizen and is an established resident of Manitoba who has been residing in Manitoba for at least one year, were considered.
Skilled Worker Overseas
Profiles that declared being directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.
Of the 41 LAAs or invitations issued in this draw, 7 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to select skilled workers for immigration. To begin, candidates submit an EOI by providing details about their skills, work experience, language ability, education, and other factors. This submission is not a formal application and is free of charge.
Based on the information provided, candidates are assigned points across six factors:
Those with higher scores in the Manitoba PNP points calculator - have a better chance of receiving a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) for permanent residency. It's important to make sure that all information is accurate, as inconsistencies can lead to refusal and a potential two-year ban from reapplying. If your EOI is not selected within a year, you can submit a new one to remain in the pool.
MPNP draws usually happen every few weeks, and the cut-off scores vary in each draw. A lower cut-off score increases the chances for more candidates to be invited. Manitoba PNP is one of the fastest ways to get Canadian PR, especially for those with ties to the province.
Currently, 80% of the applications under Manitoba PNP are being processed within 8-10 months.
