The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new draw. This was the first invitation round conducted by the province in February.

The MPNP conducts regular draws under its Expression of Interest (EOI) system to invite candidates in the EOI pool to submit a full application to the MPNP. If you have been invited in this Manitoba PNP latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit the full application. If this timeframe passes, your invitation or Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) will not be valid.

How does a Manitoba PNP draw work?

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draws are regular invitations issued by the Manitoba government to skilled workers and international graduates who want to settle in the province. These draws help Manitoba select candidates who meet the province’s labour market needs.

In each draw, the province invites candidates under different streams, including Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas, and International Education Stream. To receive an invitation, candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile, where they are given points based on the following factors:

Eligibility Factors Maximum Points
Age 10
Language 25
Education 25
Work Experience 15
Adaptability25

To be eligible to apply, candidates must score at least 60 points in the Manitoba PNP points calculator and have a connection to Manitoba under the Adaptability factor. If the candidate scores 60 points or above but has no connection to Manitoba, they are NOT eligible to apply.

Once nominated, candidates can apply for Canada PR through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). MPNP draws usually happen every few weeks, and the cut-off scores vary in each draw. A lower cut-off score increases the chances for more candidates to be invited.

Manitoba PNP is one of the fastest ways to get Canadian PR, especially for those with ties to the province. Currently, 80% of the applications under Manitoba PNP are being processed within 8-10 months.
