Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is a Canadian immigration program designed to attract skilled workers, businesspeople, and their families to Manitoba. The program aims to fill labour market needs, support economic development, and enhance the province's diverse cultural landscape. The MPNP allows Manitoba to nominate individuals who meet certain criteria to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

There are several streams under the MPNP:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba: This stream is for people already working in Manitoba with job offers and strong ties to the province.
  • Skilled Workers Overseas: This stream targets skilled workers outside Canada who have a connection to Manitoba, such as family or friends, previous education or work experience in the province, or an invitation through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
  • International Education Stream: This is for international graduates from Manitoba institutions who meet specific criteria and have job offers in the province.
  • Business Investor Stream: This stream is for investors and entrepreneurs who wish to start or buy a business in Manitoba.

Candidates must meet the specific requirements of the stream they are applying under, such as language proficiency, education, work experience, and adaptability. The MPNP is an important pathway for many to achieve their dream of living and working in Canada.

On average, 80% of applications under the MPNP are processed within 8-10 months.
