The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has conducted a new draw on December 21, 2023. This was the third Expression of Interest (EOI) draw conducted under MPNP in December.
This Manitoba PNP latest draw was different, as it only invited Skilled Worker Overseas candidates. No Skilled Workers in Manitoba and International Education Stream candidates were issued Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in the December 21 EOI draw.
Of the 1,113 LAAs issued in this draw, 529 were issued to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Immigrate to Manitoba: Check Eligibility
The Manitoba PNP latest draw is a continuation of the province issuing high invites with low scores. The back-to-back draws being conducted clearly indicate that Manitoba seeks to increase the number of candidates eligible to receive a provincial nomination under its streams.
Including the December 21 draw, Manitoba has invited a total of 15,551 candidates across 29 draws so far in 2023.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) offers a pathway for skilled workers from overseas to settle in Manitoba, Canada, through its Skilled Worker Overseas stream. This program is designed for individuals with the skills and experience needed by Manitoba's labour market.
To be eligible, candidates must have a connection to Manitoba, such as friends or family, previous education or work experience in the province, or an Invitation to Apply from the Manitoba PNP. Applicants must demonstrate their ability to economically establish themselves in Manitoba, as the program aims to attract individuals who can contribute to the local economy.
Applicants are assessed based on factors like language proficiency, education, work experience, and adaptability. If selected, candidates receive a provincial nomination, which fast-tracks the immigration process. Successful nominees can then apply to the federal government for permanent residence.
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream is part of Manitoba's efforts to address its specific labour market needs by welcoming skilled individuals who can help contribute to the growth and development of the province. It provides an opportunity for qualified individuals to build a new life in Manitoba, contributing their skills and talents to the community.
